July 4th Update

We hope this post finds you and your families well. This July 4th weekend, the brothers of Kappa Kappa Kappa celebrated the country for which our founder Harrison Hobart fought so bravely. The weekend commenced on Friday at a popular barbecue with Kappa Delta sorority, featuring board games, brews, and barbecue. Saturday, the brotherhood traveled to the Ledges (pictured below), a beautiful setting outside of West Lebanon featuring cliffs, swimming holes, and rapids. As we basked on the rocks and lounged in the water, the brothers sang patriotic tunes to the surrounding pines. That afternoon, our Grill Master Joe Minichiello '17 cooked up some amazing barbecue for the brothers. As night set in, the brotherhood celebrated together in our temporary home on West Wheelock.

The celebration continued on Monday and Tuesday, which featured two straight wins in IM softball (including one a 19-1 win over Beta), and our Summer Treasurer Chris Loughlin's 21st birthday.

Despite the lack of access to our hallowed halls on 1 Webster this summer, the brotherhood remains as strong as ever. We cannot wait to continue our adventures this summer with a cabin trip, potential road trip to Rhode Island, and further exploration of the Upper Valley.
